Book Spotlight: The Hamptons: The Snaps Series

I've heard about the beauty of the Hamptons for as long as I can remember. I've grown up seeing it depicted in films, television shows, and the pages of magazines. It's always looked like a beautiful place with so much natural beauty to see. I hope to visit someday, but until then I'll be able to enjoy seeing bits of it in a wonderful new book.
In The Hamptons: The Snaps Series, by Michael Clinton, © 2016, the talented photographer gives readers a wide-ranging view of some of the most beautiful locations as seen through his gifted way of transforming everyday moments into inspiring images. The book is a truly stunning collection. Clinton captures the heart of the Hamptons and beautifully showcases the loveliness of beachfront life. He celebrates all of the simple details and yet the magical qualities of day-to-day life.

The collection captures Long Island's stunning east end: Shinnecock, Southampton, North Sea, Water Mill, Bridgehampton, Sag Harbor, Shelter Island, Sagaponack, East Hampton, Amagansett, and Montauk.

"Life always seems better in the Hamptons, whether you are a local, a weekender or a day tripper. There is always plenty to see and do, or you can just spend time doing nothing. Just keep it simple and take in all that it has to offer."

All of the gorgeous pictures bring thoughts of past summers at the beach to mind. Even if you've never visited the Hamptons like myself, I think you'll find that Clinton does an excellent job of making readers feel a familiarity in recalling past trips to the shore everywhere. This book is definitely a celebration of the Hamptons though and the character of the place truly comes through. The Hamptons: The Snaps Series is great for anyone who loves art, photography, or indeed the Hamptons.
