We Got Snow!!!

We got some snow last night and it was still snowing this morning a bit, but now it's melting. Here are a couple of photos before the melt began. It was enough to be pretty without grinding things to a halt. It was wonderful to watch it snow last night with Brit Boy right next to me at the window. Ain't life grand :-)

Happy New Year to you too!

We got snow overnight as well. The birds and squirrels are out in the backyard battling over the seeds. But, as with you, it is expected to begin melting tomorrow.

Enjoy the snow. And it should be even more enjoyable since you know it will be going away soon.

We got snow too. A whole lot. This is so unusual for the area I live in, but the kids enjoy it of course! More snow to come in the next couple of days...

Whoo, girl... we lived in NY/NJ forever and two days, and all it did was snow. I don't miss it a bit. But I'm glad that there are still people out there who appreciate it... it looks purty!

I think we're in the middle of 2 1/2 days or rain...I've seen snow on the mountains nearby, but it's been since January last year that there's been any snow in the yard.

That's great! It looks gorgeous!!
I wish that we would get some that sticks!

You are so lucky. Enjoy it! :)

Here in Texas we got some freezing rain yesterday, it was gone today and it was 80 on Saturday,. I'm sooo confused! I have no clue what season we are in!

Wow, all white there.
It´s cold here but we never have snow, which is a pity, because my daughter already asked when could we do the snow man, lol.
A good Wednesday. Cheers.

Hi Dori

I am in south west England so I think we might miss the snow here. As an Australian I have only seen the snow a couple of times but hope we get some here. I spoke with my 6 year old nephew in Australia the other day who had told me that he had looked at the first star and wished for snow for me, so who knows we might be lucky:)

Speak soon!

Ivanhoe,
Our snow has melted finally today. I know you must get lots of snow where you live. Stay warm :)

Tink,
Happy New Year! :)

Tahtimbo,
I love watching the birds and squirrels. Our snow finally melted all the way today. It snowed again after I posted the photos and now it's all gone :)

Anne,
Yeah, it's gone now, but it was beautiful to see coming down :)

Health Nut Wannabee Mom,
Yeah, I do love watching it snow...all of that fluffiness falling from the sky :)

Martin,
Yeah, I saw on your site that you got snow over there too. I guess it decided to hit everywhere :)

Duni,
Stay warm. We haven't had a lot of snow in recent years so this was a neat surprise :)

Denene,
I know that you probably had your fill of snow in your years in NY/NJ ;-) It does look purty though :-)

Duni,
Thanks so much. I'll pick it up and get it posted soon. I've really got to get caught up :)

Valdese Blogger,
That must be cool to see the mountains with snow on them :) Stay dry with all that rain you're having.

Fitness Diva,
Yeah, we had a good time with the bit of snow that we had. It took a bit longer than we thought to melt. It was so cold so some of it stuck around. I hope you get some soon :)

Regina,
I know what you mean about the back and forth weather. Back home in Georgia it was like that. You never knew what you would get. Thanks so much for the award. I'm touched. I will be picking it up and then posting it very soon :)

Mize,
Aww, I wish you could get a bit of out of the ordinary snowfall so your daughter could make her snowman :) You have a great day too.

Shae,
Glad you like my photos :)

Jodi,
I know what you mean. The days before, during, and after the snow were some of the coldest we have had in a long time. You stay warm :)

No snow here. Just 70 degree weather and tornadoes. Gotta love the south!

Beautiful photos! Snow is so pretty. It doesn't snow out here in CA. I just recently came across your blog. You have a very nice blog! I'm looking forward to reading more.
