Some Moody Photos

On Tuesday, Brit Boy and I traveled to Salisbury once again and along the way, I took some photos as we rode along. It was a cloudy day with bits of sun here and there, so the light was very interesting. I love the way that the trees look with no leaves as they reach for the sky. I was in the mood to take some black and white photos. It sort of suited the day. Some are blurry, but I thought I'd share them anyway. I love how photographs catch a moment in time, so this is a series of photos of our time that day. It's mostly a photo essay of our path to Salisbury. I hope you enjoy it :-) church in England church spire in distance trees along road in Wiltshire England church in England church in England blurry view of Salisbury Cathedral spire in distance This photo above is really blurry, but I thought it was interesting that the raindrops stood out. I am always somewhat amused when we drive past Stonehenge on the side of the road like it's an ordinary structure.

Nice photos but one question. Are these B&W pics or is it just like that in winter? (I may be joking, I am not sure until I hear your answer!) Take care

Yeah, I know what you mean...I feel the same way these days. It's strange how things become normal over time :)

I hope you get your chance to visit Stonehenge one day :) I'm so glad you enjoyed coming along. Hugs to you!

So glad you liked the pictures :) Thanks for visiting.

Thanks :) Yeah, that's what I thought. I love black and white just adds another layer.

RE Ausetkmt,
So glad you liked my photos as we rode along :) Exactly, I feel that too, it just makes it timeless and you look closer I think. I'd LOVE to be a photojournalist. You read my heart :) I'm going to work on it. Have a fabulous weekend!

Yep, they're black and white photos. It gets bleak here sometimes, but it's not quite that dark ;-) Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your weekend :)

So glad you like them :) It's my absolute pleasure. Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello Dori,
I love trees, especially when they have no leaves. Bare trees have an art form and spiritual quality that cannot be duplicated. While they are bare, the symbol of "not being afraid to bear your soul" while "still standing tall" inspires me.

Congrats. Great job! :-)

You've got it right -- those trees are reaching for the sky. And I love the sky shots as well.

What beautiful pictures. They look like post cards. And what a great use of personification..."the trees with no leaves reach for the sky". (I'm an English teacher, so I caught that). You make me want to travel. The only place I've been outside the east cost of the US is Jamaica on my honeymoon. And we didn't see any of the island. we stayed at the resort for 4 days playing pool! So sad.
