Today, hubby and I took a lovely walk. It was good to get out into nature and it was good exercise. 

Seeing these beautiful hydrangeas was a great treat because I love the color blue and I love hydrangeas. I've read recently that in order to have blue hydrangeas, they must be cultivated to do so. Blue is my favorite color, as I've written about before. I'm always excited when I see blue flowers of some shade. 

I love all flowers, but my two favorites are peonies and hydrangeas, in that order. They are both so voluminous and gorgeous.

Thursday Night Check-In

I thought that I'd just stop by for a quick hello post since it's been ten days since I've written here. It's after 11pm. I need to be in bed, because I have to get up early for work tomorrow morning, but I'm in need of something to break the monotony of every week day. Taking a moment to check in with something I love will sustain me as I go about my workday tomorrow. The plus is that tomorrow is Friday and that's one of my favorites since it leads into the weekend...and I'm sure that I'm not the only one :) Also by the way, I was born on a Friday, so I'm partial to Fridays.

I've posted the photo above before, but I like to use it as a tool for peacefulness. When I look at this photo, I can easily imagine that I'm sitting right there :) 

Well, enough of my rambling...I guess that I'll head to bed.

I'm going to spend my weekend getting back on track with some things. Sometimes we all lose our way a little bit or lose sight of what we really want. That's happened to me. Life gets hectic :) 

So this weekend I'm going to check in with myself again and get to work again on my "things". I'll report back on that front in time. Until then...

Spring is slowly springing here in Wiltshire. It's still quite chilly, but I'm keeping the faith that sunnier days are just around the corner :)

The trees and bushes are slowly starting to bud out so I'm excited about that. Here's to much warmer days ahead!

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. Things have been a bit hectic. I haven't been feeling really great and I've been trying to work on my long, long, long-awaited novel. Lol. Well, I'm feeling better, so fingers crossed that that continues to be the case. Also, I'm still working on my novel, because I've put too much darn work into it to stop now. Lol. It will definitely see the light of day in the new year, God willing :)

I have an event coming up the weekend of November 25th and I'll be sharing my experience afterwards so I hope that you can come back to hear all about it. I'm getting my first press pass ever, so I'm excited :)

These two daisies make me think about life. They're a part of nature and indeed part of this world just as we are. When I took this photo, I was just walking by and I looked down. I was drawn to taking a photo because they made me think of faces. Daisies often remind me of smiling faces. 

These two are missing a petal or two here and there, but they're doing their best to show up in the best way they can...while being the best version of themselves with what they have. Thinking of this reminds me of a quote by the late tennis champion Arthur Ashe.

A Friday Photo and A Stormy Sky

Today's Friday photo is one from late July 2013. It was taken in our backyard. The reason why I took it is because the sky looks stormy and I love that kind of sky, as long as no terrible storm comes from it. I know...it's kooky. I like the look but I hate a crazy storm. There must be a meaning in there somewhere. Lol.

This is a shortish Friday post because I'm not feeling too energetic today. I guess that I'm still not 100% better, but I'm getting there :-)

I'm going to try to get some rest this weekend and if I feel a bit better I may take a short walk to get some fresh air. I'll probably scribble some more of my book down...I write bits and pieces on paper when they come to me sometimes and then later I type them into the computer. I'm also going to continue to read that intriguing book that I mentioned before. I promise to tell all about it once I've finished. I got a bit sidetracked when I was sick, so I'm gonna do some catching up.
