Bushes That Bring Butterflies
Hello :-)
Today I thought that I'd share this photo that I took a few years ago. As you can see, it's a colorful butterfly and I'm thinking of butterflies because of what's happening in the backyard.
Over the last week and a half, the butterfly bushes in the backyard have been blooming out.
Here's a photo below that I just snapped. The sky's kinda gloomy off and on, but the flowers are still showing up in all their glory!
The butterfly bushes have white flowers and purple flowers and they're ever expanding. I love that they've kind of taken over along the back. A few weeks ago I wrote here about not having much color out there and I mentioned how much I missed it. Well I guess that this was a case of ask and you shall receive ;-) They came out with an extra bit of oomph this year and I love them! The butterflies are loving every minute too!
Happy Tuesday! :-)

A Friday Photo and Dreaming of Warmer Days
Hello :-)
Today's Friday photo is from July 2013 and as you can see it's a colorful butterfly hanging out on a sunny day. Since I posted a photo yesterday showing those optimistic daffodils trying to pop out, I decided to continue with that theme. Even though it's still cold here, especially too cold for my southern blood...Lol...and it's truly freezing back home and all along the east coast of the United States, I'm gonna think warm thoughts! ;-) I know we shouldn't rush time because time is precious, but it's still fun to dream of those warmer days ahead.
So here's to dreaming of warmer days, sunshine, and beautiful butterflies that decide to pay us a visit!
Happy Friday and have a great weekend! :-)

Beauty
Here's a quick photo that I took today. I had to catch this butterfly very quickly because he was gone in a flash. That's what I loved...that it was here and then gone. It made me appreciate capturing this fleeting moment even more. It's not the greatest picture by a long way, but he was so beautiful and I'm so appreciative that he stopped by to thrill me for a minute. Now I share it with you :-)

My Second Mini Cam Moment - Butterfly
We had a nice weekend around the Yellow House. The weather turned out okay too. Brit Boy has been on vacation this past week and he's off this week too, so we've been doing lots of hanging out. We're planning on taking a trip into London on Wednesday so we're looking forward to that.
On Saturday we had sunny weather and it brought the butterflies out. Here's a short video I filmed with my handy little retro mini cam. So this is the second in my mini cam moments series :-) We have a white and purple butterfly bush or buddleia as it's sometimes called, in our yard/garden and over the last few sunny days, we've been visited by various colorful butterflies. I looked it up and it seems that this is a peacock butterfly, but I'm not absolutely sure. It looks similar though. I'm hoping to get some better video on another sunny day. Butterflies don't hang about so it's hard to catch a good glimpse :-) Anyway, I wanted to share this mini cam moment with you all to let you see a bit of our summer. I did this video from inside whilst looking outside since I didn't have time to make it outside. The clanging sounds in the background are Brit Boy in the kitchen :-) I hope you enjoy this and I hope to get more when the sun shines and the butterflies return again. Have a great day!
