Hello September 2019

Happy new month!

I like September. It's a month that always makes me think of getting back on track with things in my life after the more relaxed vibe of summer. Sometimes my summers aren't very eventful, but I enjoy the beautiful summer days as much as I can. Having lots of sunny days in England is usually a rarity, but this year the weather treated us well. My hubby and I did a lot more outdoor stuff this year and we were pleasantly surprised that the weather cooperated. So I've really enjoyed this summer. I know that Fall/Autumn is still about three weeks away, but I feel the shift towards that new season coming. Maybe it's because this is going back to school time, even though I've been out of school for a long while, but that feeling never leaves I guess. Whatever it is, I'm looking forward to reorganizing myself a bit in order to do a bit better with things in this last third of 2019 :)

It's a beautiful sunny day today and there's a bit of a breeze blowing outside. It's the perfect time for me to be inside scribbling away on my lists that I love to compile. This time, I'll be using my previously mentioned new planner to help me along with this. I do love notebooks, planners and things of that nature. They help me sketch out what's in my head.

Well, back to my planning and scribbling :)

I wish you well wherever you are and....Happy September!

Hello July

One of the beautiful peonies
that I bought recently in town

It's a new month...a new beginning...a fresh start...a time of new opportunities. It's also the second half of 2019 and that always inspires me to take stock for a moment, as I move forward into the second half of each year.

Today is also the first weekday of my vacation from work and I am truly overjoyed about that! I'm grateful to have a job, but we all need a break every once in a while. It's been a tough time at work lately, so I'm long overdue for a break in order to get myself together again. I'm truly grateful for this break.

I hope that whomever is reading this...if anyone is anymore 🙂, that July brings good things into your life. Here's to a fresh now month!

Hello December

Happy new month! This year has flown by and it's wild that 2017 is coming to a close soon. In the meantime, I'm definitely ready to enjoy this final month of 2017, take stock of how my year has been, and then think about what I want to bring into my life in the new year.

I don't want to get ahead of myself though. This is day one of a whole new month, full of new opportunities each day. So I'm going to do my best to relish all 31 days! 😊

I hope that your December is wonderful!

Hello September

I can't believe that it's September again...this year surely has flown by, but then it seems they all go by faster and faster :) I always like a new month because it helps me to collect my thoughts about the month that's just finished and then I can look forward to what the new month brings. Of course we never know what's around the corner, but I always hope like we all do that the new month brings good new things.

So here's to hoping that September is full of good things for us all!

Goodbye 2016

Well, another year is coming to an end and it has me in a reflective mood. There have been highs and lows in addition to the middle that holds together day-to-day life. In the end, it's all good :)

A year ago on this very day, I wasn't very well at all, so I'm extremely grateful in this moment to be able to sit here and type these words. I wasn't at death's door or anything, but I was confined to bed. So it's a blessing to be upright!

I have always loved this day...December 31st. I really feel it. It's like teetering on the edge of a cliff and waiting to leap over an invisible line into the next chapter. Forgive me if I'm rambling or if I lose you here, but this day always makes me feel like I'm truly a part of  "Time". I feel a connection with the past and the future at the same time. It also makes me think of my mom. This was the last day that I spent with her in 2005. It's bittersweet, but I relish the fun that we had and I'll carry that with me for the rest of my life :)

Tonight along with everyone else, I'll say goodbye to 2016. I know it's a bit of an understatement, but it's been a helluva year! So many beloved people in our collective popular culture have left us along with those who we may have personally known and loved. I'll tell you something. It's all made me cherish life even more than I did already and it's reminded me to love even more.

Even though I'm no slouch...lol....I'm gonna do my very best to go just a bit harder on top of what's normal for me, in pursuit of what I want in my life. It can't hurt, huh? :) It's not a resolution...I've just gotta do better.

Thank you for visiting me here in 2016. I have more photos, thoughts, updates on my book and things to share, so I hope that you'll come back to see me in 2017!

I wish health, happiness, love, and the best of everything for everyone in 2017!
